I TRAIN WOMEN TO THRIVE.

I created EmpowHER because I kept seeing women show up to gyms and leave feeling like the space wasn’t built for them — especially women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s going through one of the most significant physical transitions of their lives.

My training philosophy is simple: every woman I coach should leave feeling more powerful than when she walked in. Strength is a skill. Confidence is a result of that skill being built consistently, in a space that supports you. Whether you’re joining an EmpowHER class, working with me 1:1, or returning to fitness for the first time in years — I meet you exactly where you are and build from there.

Does Laura only train women?
Laura primarily specializes in women’s fitness, particularly for women ages 30–65 navigating perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. EmpowHER is a women-only program. For private 1:1 personal training, please contact us to discuss your specific needs.
What is the difference between EmpowHER and private training with Laura?
EmpowHER is a small-group class (max 8 women) with a community focus — shared experience, accountability, and group coaching. Private training is fully 1:1, completely personalized to your specific goals, body, and stage of life. Many women do both for the best of each.
I haven’t exercised in years. Is Laura’s training right for me?
Absolutely. Laura works with women at all levels, including those returning to fitness after years away. Her coaching style is welcoming, non-judgmental, and always adapted to your current ability. Starting is more important than starting perfectly.
How does perimenopause and menopause affect training?
Significantly. Declining estrogen accelerates bone density loss, reduces muscle mass, shifts fat distribution toward the abdomen, affects joint lubrication, disrupts sleep, and impacts mood and energy. Laura’s programming directly addresses all of these changes — using resistance training to preserve bone and muscle, mobility work to support joint health, and conditioning to protect cardiovascular health.
