As a Movement Specialist, Jamel focuses on the intricacies of body mechanics — ensuring every athlete moves with precision and efficiency. Inefficient movement is wasted energy. Jamel eliminates waste and replaces it with output. His training philosophy encompasses holistic fitness — meaning he doesn’t just make you faster or stronger in isolation. Sprint mechanics, acceleration, top-end velocity, and sport-specific first-step quickness. Jamel breaks down and rebuilds how you move at maximum speed.

Agility

Change of direction, lateral movement, reaction, and positional footwork. Sports are rarely linear — Jamel trains you for the movements that actually happen on the field or court.

Endurance

Sport-specific conditioning to maintain peak performance from the first rep to the final whistle. Aerobic base, anaerobic capacity, and game-duration stamina.

Power & Explosiveness

Through Flip the Switch Performance and personal training at RFT, Jamel develops every athletic quality that separates good players from great ones. These are the pillars every athlete builds at every session.

Each tier has a minimum and maximum training frequency — because overtraining at the wrong stage sets athletes back. Jamel manages this with purpose.

Beginner Level

2–3x/week

Getting You Ready

This is your foundation. Minimum 2 sessions per week, maximum 3. Building movement quality, work capacity, and athletic base that prepares you for the next level.

Ideal for:

New athletes, elementary school, returning players, any age starting out

Mid Level

3–4x/week

Leadership Role

Minimum 3, maximum 4 sessions per week. This level is about developing leadership qualities through training — becoming the athlete others follow. Increased intensity, more complex programming.

Ideal for:

Middle and high school athletes, serious recreational players, developing competitive athletes.

Advanced Level

5–7x/week

The Edge

Minimum 5, up to 6–7 sessions per week. This is maximum output. This is where athletes separate themselves from their peers. High school, college, and professional-level demand.

What sports does Jamel train for?
All sports. Through Flip the Switch Performance, Jamel trains athletes in football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, tennis, soccer, track and more. The athletic qualities he develops – speed, agility, explosiveness, endurance, and power — are universal and transfer across all sports.
What ages does Jamel work with?
Jamel trains athletes from elementary school through professional level. Programs are specifically designed for each stage – elementary athletes, middle school players, high school varsity athletes, college players, and professional-level competitors. Programs are never one-size-fits-all.
What is the difference between the three training levels?
Beginner Level trains 2–3 times per week and builds the athletic foundation. Mid Level trains 3–4 times per week and develops the athlete toward a leadership role. Advanced Level trains 5–7 times per week and gives the athlete the competitive edge against their peers. Jamel assigns the appropriate level after your intake assessment.
Does Jamel only train athletes or does he do general personal training too?
Both. Jamel’s primary expertise is sports performance, but his background in kinesiology and personal training also covers general fitness, weight loss, and muscle development for non-athletes who want to train with a high-performance coach.
